All Saints Academy Building Update

During these final days of the year, we give special attention to giving thanks. As the construction phase of the new addition begins, All Saints Academy would like to extend our gratitude to all those who have generously supported the building project. To date, the south footings and flooring have been poured, and the walls of the classroom which will also serve as a storm shelter are nearing completion. Together we are strong, and together we have raised $2,035,419. We are still reaching for our goal of $3,000,000 to complete the new addition and the renovation of the gym entrance and two classrooms. Thank you for all you have done and will do in the future to help provide for more learning space at All Saints Academy.

Tired of supporting abortions with your Illinois tax? There is another option…

Masks are now optional at Mass and all liturgical celebrations.

From the Office of Worship and Director Fr. Godfrey Mullins, OSB: After consultation with Bishop McGovern, I am happy to announce that effective October 1, 2022, diocesan liturgical protocols for Covid-19 will be modified.

Wearing masks will become optional for ordinary and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion. Hand sanitizing for these ministers before and after their ministry is still strongly encouraged.

Considering matters of health and hygiene, the option for the faithful receiving Holy Communion from the chalice in the Diocese of Belleville will be reviewed in the Spring of 2023. Until that time, please refrain from offering the chalice to the faithful.

Bishop McGovern’s Message to Parishioners

In recognition of the Beatification of Blessed Michael McGivney, the Knights of Columbus are extending a special membership offer in honor of our founder.

SPECIAL LIMITED TIME MEMBERSHIP PROMOTIONAL OFFER:

Through 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2021, new members are being offered FREE ONLINE MEMBERSHIP for the first year.

Simply visit kofc.org/joinus and enter the code MCGIVNEY2020 to take advantage of this special offer.

Father McGivney was faced with a pandemic in the 1880s, as we are today. In the face of that pandemic, he persevered in his efforts to evangelize those in his community, to form his parishioners in their Catholic faith, and to grow the Knights of Columbus. As his spiritual heirs, we can do nothing less.

Our pastor needs the Knights of Columbus. Our fellow parishioners need the Knights of Columbus. Those impacted by COVID-19 need the Knights of Columbus. Just as our holy founder surely would, we are resolved to Leave No Neighbor Behind, and to offer every Catholic man of the parish an opportunity to join the Order that Father McGivney founded some 138 years ago.
